Professional Dental Cleaning
At the beginning of your appointment, our hygienist will thoroughly clean the plaque and tartar from each of your teeth using a small, metal tool. Plaque will be removed from below the gumline as well. Then, your teeth will be polished and flossed.
Dental Exam
Our dentist in Carthage, Missouri, will then check your teeth, gums and mouth thoroughly for signs of decay, gum disease and other issues. The goal is for Dr. Michael Woody to diagnose any dental issues as soon as possible so that they can be treated swiftly. If any issues were detected, we will go over your treatment options to you. Of course, you have the final word about your dental treatment.
Dental X-Rays
We will decide whether or not to take X-rays of your oral cavity based on factors including your age, risk of cavities and dental health history. Dental X-rays are very helpful for locating decay and other issues that are between the teeth or in other areas that make them difficult to spot with the naked eye.
